The Wrong End of the World was commissioned by Salisbury Playhouse, with a grant from the Arts Council of Great Britain. 

 It was first performed there on 15th May 1987, directed by David Horlock, with a cast of 11 actors, 3 actresses, 7 children, and 35 local amateurs appearing with the permission of Equity.    There are 53 speaking roles, 42M, 5F, 6 children.
